How we work:Since 1994 I have been working with students teaching them concepts of Anatomy and Physiology, first as a Physiology teaching assistant at the University of Victoria, then with clients at a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation facility and then, in 1997 with yoga students and in 2001 with yoga teachers and teacher trainees.
Anatomy Education - Anatomy and Asana is primarily an educational business, teaching yoga teachers and teacher trainees the principles of anatomy and physiology as they relate to asanas so that they can make a bigger difference and become a valuable resource to their students. So far, I have brought Anatomy and Asana to the yoga community by way of "live" workshops within teacher training programs and as continuing education modules for teachers and yoga enthusiasts who want to learn more. I have also created the free Anatomy and Asana ezine to give a monthly bite of anatomy as it relates to yoga asana. Over the next few months I will be creating a few more ways to bring Anatomy and Asana to you, especially to the folks who live far from a "live" workshop venue. Easy to learn and Simple to Apply: I like simplicity. You can find me often drawing models and diagrams to make a complex concept easy to understand and apply to someone's practice. I want you to be inspired to take these concepts into your practice, to play, to explore and discover the "ah-has" for yourself.
